The Community Support Services department has an opening for a FullTime Adult Day Worker at the Fort Frances/Emo/Rainy River location. Thesuccessful candidate must be able to meet the normal requirements of the joband possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:

Certificateor diploma in a health care related field preferred;

Minimumof 2 years’ experience in a health care setting an asset;

Proficientin using Microsoft Office applications including EMR an asset;

ValidCPR certification;

ValidDrivers License, Class G, and a safe driving record;

Effectivecommunication skills, both verbal and written;

Understandsand maintains confidentiality;

Experienceworking with elderly populations in a community setting;

Abilityto assess and respond to client needs and set priorities;

Abilityto work independently as well as in a team setting

Genuineinterest and understanding for the care and need of the elderly;

Knowledgeof the resources for seniors available in the community;

Dependablewith an excellent attendance record;

Physicallycapable of performing the essential duties of the job.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will assist with retentionand guarantee service delivery for the Adult Day program.





SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Responsiblefor attending and planning Adult Day programming for the Rainy River district;

- Developschedule of activities and events for Adult Day programs across the Rainy Riverdistrict;
- Responsiblefor ordering crafts, food, and other supplies necessary in the Adult Dayprograms across the Rainy River district in conjunction with the CommunitySupport Services Coordinators;
- Liaiseswith district organizations and resource persons to arrange entertainmentprogramming for Adult Day;
- Maintainand compile attendance records and statistical information as per reportingprocedure for submission to CSS Manager;
- AssistCSS Coordinators & Manager in preparing Quarterly Reports for the Adult DayProgram;
- Assistin and/or plan the transportation of clients to and from activities relating toAdult Day Program across the Rainy River district;
- Liaisewith CSS Coordinators to schedule staff for Adult Day Programming across theRainy River district;

1 0. Collect weekly revenues fromeach site an prepare deposit in conjunction with CSS Coordinators;

1 1. Complete and submit pettycash purchases in conjunction with CSS Coordinators;

- Maintain rental site andAdult Day program equipment as per usage contract;
- Inventory control of AdultDay program equipment and supplies;

14 . Regular travel across thedistrict as needed;

- Assist with Assisted Living,Home Support, or any other areas within CSS as assigned by CSS Coordinators orManager;
- Any other duties as assignedby CSS Coordinators or Manager.
