About Us
We partner with universities to scale career support through our two digital platforms: Beyond Graduate School for master's students, and Beyond the Professoriate for PhDs. We work with about 90 campuses in the United States, and we're growing each year.
We're a small but mighty team of five, founder-led, and most of us have been with the company since the beginning. This company is our passion project. We're looking for someone who wants to join our team and share that commitment.
We're remote, we work across time zones, and we're collaborative. On a small team, that means we have autonomy in our work, but we're also accountable to each other. Integrity and trust are core principles we value in team members.
This role is primarily curriculum design and facilitation. Our webinars and courses give students strategies and action items for building meaningful careers.
A great session helps a PhD or master's student understand why networking matters, for example, and gives them a clear way to start, with strategies they can try that week.
In this way, our content is different from teaching academic subject matter, where students are evaluated on their knowledge. We want students to build confidence in their skills and apply what they're learning to their own job search.
You'll apply principles of adult learning and active learning to everything you build, from live webinars to on-demand videos and workbooks.
Master's students and PhDs are different learners, and you'll design content for each group's needs.
Master's students are often on a one- or two-year timeline, many are international, and most are already aiming for jobs outside academia. PhDs and postdocs are often weighing academic and nonacademic paths, and many need help translating years of research into terms employers value.

- Lead info sessions and workshops for master's and doctoral students
