Part-Time Health Care Aide (HCA), Home Care | Edmonton & Area

Nurse2Go provides home care to seniors and adults across Edmonton and rural Alberta. Our HCAs work under LPN clinical oversight, and we're Alberta Blue Cross certified. We're looking for an experienced, dependable HCA to join our growing team.

Pay: $22.00/hr to start, increasing to $23.00/hr on completion of probation, and further periodic increments to$27.00. Mileage is paid.

Job type: Part-time, in person

What You'll Do

- Drive to client's homes and Provide personal care and support to seniors in their homes
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
- Follow each client's individualized care plan and communicate any needed updates promptly
- Complete documentation in real time or immediately after each visit (care provided, client condition, observations, and changes)
- Immediately document and escalate falls, injuries, safety concerns, and changes in condition

Requirements
- Completion of a recognized HCA program, and active registration in valuable standing with the College of HCAs and LPNs of Alberta (CLHA).
- Minimum 3 years of HCA experience, including experience with seniors
- Active Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- CPR/First Aid: current certification preferred.

- Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Discretion and confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and manage your time

Assets
- Experience with dementia care
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
