HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT MANAGER

Full Time Target Salary Range $65,500 to $72,500 per annum

Placement within the hiring range is based on skills and experience

The job involves

- Act as a liaison between the Hotel Manager, Manager of Environmental Services, and the Hotel Housekeeping leadership team to ensure alignment on operational priorities and service standards
- Providing leadership, guidance, and accountability to ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming hotel environment
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting Housekeeping Supervisors through performance management, professional development, regular feedback, and effective communication of operational updates and business objectives
- Working closely with the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisors in overseeing the overall management of Hotel Housekeeping. This includes planning, organizing, and overseeing the housekeeping operation and administration
- Supporting Front Office Supervisors when needed and understanding processes
- Leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental controls and operating practices to meet and exceed regulatory and operational standards
- Utilizing operational metrics and quality assurance programs to drive performance, identify opportunities for improvement,



and enhance the overall guest experience
- Maintaining Housekeeping inventory by requesting purchase orders following strict purchasing procedures.

Review and maintain Hotel Housekeeping budget

- Ensuring guests are provided with the highest level of service; making decisions pertaining to the betterment of the guest’s experience
- Builds company reputation through earning trust and loyalty of guests. Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
- Exceptional communication skills, Demonstrates respect, regard and consideration for others
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

The ideal candidate has:

- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minium 3-5 years of progressive housekeeping experience within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment
- Minium 3+ years of leadership experience managing housekeeping teams, supervisors, and day-to-day operations in a large, fast-paced property
- Health & Safety, WHMIS, and Joint Health & Safety Committee certification considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, management and team building skills
- Strong organizational skills focused on providing remarkable guest service
- Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision - making skills
- Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strict attention to detail
- Robust computer skills (Excel, Word, Birch Street, Workday and Time & Attendance)
