As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated, hands-on Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team and support our operations across Southern Ontario. Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a key partner to managers and employees across the Southern ON region, providing support throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will support employee relations, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, compliance initiatives, and HR programs while helping foster a positive and engaged workplace culture.

We are looking for an approachable, solutions-focused HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting leaders, and finding practical solutions to workplace challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR skilled looking to grow their experience while making a meaningful impact across multiple locations.

Special Note: In the first 90-120 days, the successful candidate will be expected to spend significant time on-site at our branch locations to establish relationships with managers and employees and gain a robust understanding of our business. Following this onboarding period, travel and on-site presence will continue based on branch and regional needs. Regular travel throughout the region is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist, you'll collaborate with our Regional Operations Team and National People & Culture team in the following key responsibilities:

- Employee Relations: Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on attendance, performance management, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Assist with investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions as required. Support fair and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- HR Policy and Compliance:



Maintain knowledge of applicable employment standards and legislation. Help ensure company policies, practices, and procedures remain compliant with legislative requirements. Assist in preparing employee documentation, correspondence, and records while maintaining confidentiality. Support managers and employees with policy interpretation and workplace best practices.
- Performance Management & Employee Development: Support managers through performance management processes, including coaching conversations, development planning, performance reviews, and corrective action. Promote employee growth and development by assisting with career development and training initiatives. Provide guidance to leaders on employee development and retention strategies.
- Learning and Development: Coordinate training and development programs, onboarding initiatives, and employee learning opportunities in partnership with internal stakeholders. Support leaders in identifying training needs and implementing learning solutions that align with operational requirements. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives and making recommendations for improvement.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Assist with the implementation of People & Culture programs designed to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Build strong relationships with employees and managers across the region and act as a visible and approachable HR presence.
- HR Systems & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Utilize HR reporting and metrics to identify trends and support informed decision-making. Experience with Dayforce, Workday, or other HRIS systems is considered an asset.

- Recruitment & Onboarding Support: Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding teams to support a consistent and positive candidate and employee experience.



Assist hiring managers with HR-related aspects of recruitment and onboarding processes as required.
- HR Projects & Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of People & Culture initiatives, programs, and process improvements. Assist with organizational changes and communication efforts as required.

Contribute to department projects and other HR-related initiatives.

Qualifications And Requirements What You’ll Bring to the Team

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist, Coordinator, or Advisor capacity.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of employment standards, human rights legislation, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees and managers at all levels.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools; experience with Workday is considered a strong asset.

- Experience supporting multiple locations or a geographically dispersed workforce is considered an asset.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.
- Experience in construction, equipment rental, industrial services, transportation, or a similar operational environment is considered an asset.

Pay Range

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually
