[HR Planner]

Location: Granby, Quebec | Department: VESC Project HR Team

VESC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Planner to help shape and strengthen our people strategy and HR operating framework in Canada. This role will support the full HR planning cycle—from strategy and policy development to workforce planning, compliance, HR analytics, and learning and development. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong execution skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

[Key Responsibilities]

- Develop mid- to long-term HR strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Design and enhance HR policies, systems, and operating guidelines, including performance management, compensation, recruitment, and other core HR programs.
- Establish annual workforce plans based on production requirements and business priorities.
- Plan and manage recruitment strategies and processes in line with workforce demand.
- Develop initiatives to attract, engage, and retain key talent.
- Analyze HR data and provide insights to support data-driven workforce and business decisions.
- Monitor and address HR-related legal and compliance risks, including requirements under Canadian labour law.
- Strengthen HR information security processes and controls.
- Analyze labour cost performance and recommend opportunities for cost optimization.
- Design end-to-end onboarding programs and develop training content for new hires.
- Build, manage,



and continuously improve the organization’s learning and development framework.

[Required Qualifications]

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field.
- At least five years of professional experience, including hands-on experience in HR planning and HR system design.
- Experience designing and implementing HR programs across the full lifecycle.
- Experience in data-driven workforce planning and HR analytics.
- Robust communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver key messages effectively.
- Excellent planning skills and a demonstrated ability to execute.
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency.

[Preferred Qualifications]

- Experience in a large organization and/or the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labour law and current local HR practices.
