Galore Apparel
Toronto
Galore makes basics named for the weight of their fabric: tees, longsleeves, hoodies and sweatpants. We're hiring an in-house photographer and videographer to own how the brand looks, from the product page to the Instagram feed. The role starts part-time, and the plan is to make it full-time when our Toronto office opens in 2027.
About us
We're a Toronto brand selling direct at galoreyyz.com to customers across the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia, and close to 30,000 people follow @galore.yyz on Instagram. The team is small, so the work you make is what most people see of the brand.
The role
You'll run our photo and video from idea to post: campaign shoots, product photography for the site, and the Instagram and TikTok content built from them. A year in, success looks like a feed that reads as one brand, a product library shot to one standard, and a steady flow of creators wearing our pieces.
What you'll do
- Plan our Instagram and TikTok content on a weekly calendar and get it posted. A typical Instagram week is four feed posts, two reels and five or six stories.
- Produce shoots end to end: concepts, shot lists, models, locations and the day itself.
- Shoot and edit e-commerce product photos to our house standard, and plan what each current drop and restock needs.
- Shoot and edit short-form video: reels, TikToks,
product close-ups and behind the scenes.
- Retouch and colour-correct in Photoshop and Lightroom so every image holds the same look.
- Run influencer outreach: find creators who fit the brand, reach out, send product and track what they post.
What we're looking for
Required
- A portfolio of photo and video you shot and edited yourself, ideally fashion, apparel or product work
- 2+ years shooting for brands or clients (freelance, agency and in-house all count)
- Photoshop and Lightroom, plus at least one video editor: Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut
- Experience planning and posting content for a brand's Instagram or TikTok
- Your own camera kit for professional stills and 4K video
- Based in the Greater Toronto Area and available for in-person shoots
Nice to have
- Studio product photography and lighting
- Influencer or creator outreach
- Shopify
- An eye for minimal menswear and streetwear
Pay and hours
C$25–35 an hour to start, about 20 hours a week, plus a monthly bonus tied to Instagram growth. When the role goes full-time, the salary range is C$60–70k a year.
How to apply
Apply here with your resume and links to your portfolio and a video reel. A website, Instagram or Drive link is fine.
