Role Description The Industrial Electrician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lloydminster, AB. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment associated with industrial combustion and process heating units, including controls, wiring, and power distribution. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting electrical drawings, completing recent installations, performing diagnostic troubleshooting, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.





The Industrial

Electrician will work closely with engineering, instrumentation, and controls teams to support commissioning, upgrades, and system modifications, while adhering to all applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures. The position also involves documenting work performed, participating in safety meetings, and supporting continuous improvement of electrical systems and maintenance practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and industrial electrical principles, including power distribution and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance of industrial electrical equipment and systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for electrical faults and control issues.
- Skilled in electrical wiring, installation of components, and reading/interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Relevant trade certification (e.g., Journeyperson Electrician or equivalent) and familiarity with Canadian electrical codes and standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety, including lockout/tagout and safe work practices in industrial settings.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to changing priorities in field and shop environments.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required; experience in oil and gas or industrial heating is an asset.
