Title: Jordan’s Principle Service Navigator

Salary: $68,263 - $81,062 - $93,861 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: 1 Year Term contract

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Metro Vancouver office located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil- Waututh Nations.

About The Role

As the Jordan’s Principal Service Navigator, you will support coordination and alignment between First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and Indigenous Services Canada BC Region (ISC-BC). The role will provide case management support facilitating appropriate intake, referrals, and sequencing of coverage between FNHA Health Benefits and Jordan’s Principle in relation to health and dental related requests.

About You To be successful in this role you will have/be;

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience

- A university degree or an equivalent combination of education,



training and experience
- Experience working with First Nation communities and/or Indigenous organizations
- Experience providing customer support in a First Nations environment, preferably with children, youth and families
- Experience with case management, in particular the reviewing and preparing of requests for funding and or coverage of health-related services and goods and/or other social services
- Experience in developing, maintaining and strengthening relationships with stakeholders to advance organization objectives.
- Experience in preparing and delivering advice, briefings and/or presentations to management and/or clients and/or stakeholders
- Experience in promoting best practices in Indigenous health.
- Experience working with third party benefit providers.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving environment with a concentration in health.
- Experience in advancing cultural safety and humility.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

- Knowledge of the BC health care system, and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC, preferably with a focus on children and youth.
- Leadership –Influencing, motivating, and inspiring others through direct and indirect means to accomplish organizational objectives including people and partnership development in a manner consistent with the 7 Directives, Shared Values, and Wellness Operating Principles.

Able to champion change, in partnership with others, by living the First Nations perspective of health and wellness.

- Decision-making - Uses sound judgment to make good decisions based on information gathered and analyzed.



Considers all pertinent facts and alternatives before deciding on the most appropriate action.
- Problem solving - Analyzes problem by gathering and organizing all relevant information. Identifies cause and effect relationships.

Comes up with appropriate solutions with minimal supervision.

The Pay

Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full-time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
