The Journeyman Millwright – Equipment Systems is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling, and repairing drilling rig equipment and mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations. This role supports shop and field maintenance activities, mentors apprentices, and contributes to operational excellence through solid technical expertise, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to install, assemble, and repair drilling rig equipment
- Install, align,



inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain rig equipment, including pumps, blocks, crowns, drawworks, and other mechanical systems
- Operate cranes, loaders, forklifts, and other lifting equipment to safely move and position machinery and components
- Perform preventative maintenance, component replacement, lubrication, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and performance
- Mentor apprentices, promote Precision Drilling’s safety culture and core values, and participate in on-call, overtime, and after-hours support as required

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

- Registered Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright with experience working on drilling rig equipment; 2+ years of rig experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; comfortable operating a ¾-ton service truck
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, perform precision measurements, and inspect mechanical components
- Experience operating hydraulic pulling equipment and oxy-acetylene/oxy-propane cutting and heating equipment
- Safety-focused, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to pass pre-employment fitness and drug testing
