About the Role

Our client, a global leader in mining technology and solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer for a fully remote position. This role will be central to designing and optimizing electrical systems for complex mining operations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and reliability. You will work closely with operational teams, project managers, and R&D; departments to develop creative solutions for underground and surface mining environments. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the electrical engineering design and development for new mining equipment and infrastructure.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of electrical systems, including power distribution, automation, and control systems for mining machinery.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with stringent mining safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct electrical system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for remote operations.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers,



fostering technical excellence within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

Requirements

- B.Eng or M.Eng in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of extensive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on the mining sector .
- Proven expertise in designing and managing electrical systems for heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
- Strong understanding of high voltage systems , variable frequency drives (VFDs), and PLC/SCADA applications in mining.
- Experience with remote diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
