Under the guidance of the Resident Care Manager and in close collaboration with a diverse healthcare team,



the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers top-notch nursing care to long-term care residents in addition to providing emotional comfort and support to residents and their families. LPNs in long-term care have the unique opportunity to build deep and lasting relationships with residents/families/caregivers, collaborate with a compassionate and knowledgeable interdisciplinary care team, and contribute to an overall sense of "home" for residents.

A name chosen by an Aboriginal Elder, the meaning of Chenchenstwayis "lifting each other up". This meaning is embodied by staff and residents of this 3-storey, 110 bed long term care home located in Burnaby. A joint operation between Providence Health Care and Fraser Health, Chenchenstway attracts staff who are open-minded, adaptable, and who thrive in challenging situations where leadership and cutting-edge problem-solving is required.
