Greystone Masonry Inc. is looking for a Masonry Apprentice and/or Experienced Skilled Mason to join our team in the Trail/Rossland area.

We’re looking for people who are hard-working, reliable, take pride in their work, and want to be part of a quality-focused masonry company.

For the apprentice position, no previous masonry experience is required. We’re willing to train the right person. A good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are more important to us than previous masonry experience.

Masonry is an excellent skilled trade for someone who enjoys working with their hands, working outdoors and being able to stand back at the end of the day and see what they’ve built. This is an opportunity to learn the trade hands-on and develop skills that can lead to a long-term career.

Pay

- Masonry Apprentice — starting at $24/hour
- Experienced/Skilled Mason — up to $40/hour, depending on experience and ability
- Opportunity for wage increases as skills, productivity and responsibilities develop

What you’ll be working with:
- Natural stone
- Manufactured stone
- Brick
- Concrete block/CMU
- Mortar and masonry materials
- Masonry saws, hand tools and power tools
- Wall preparation and related masonry systems

For the apprentice position, we’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and shows up on time




- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Is physically capable of performing the demands of masonry work, including regularly lifting and carrying materials
- Is comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Works well as part of a team
- Is interested in learning a skilled trade and developing a long-term career

Previous construction experience is an asset, but not required.

For the skilled mason position, we’re looking for:

- Previous masonry experience
- Experience laying brick and/or block and installing stone
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependability and a skilled attitude
- Ability to read plans and understand masonry layouts is an asset

Position: Full-time, permanent

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Location: Trail/Rossland and surrounding area
