Role Description This is a part-time and or full-time, on-site Mechanic role located in Surrey, BC. The Mechanic will inspect, service, and repair heavy equipment and tools used in flooring and concrete operations, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and in good working order. Daily tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, and completing maintenance records.

The role also involves coordinating with supervisors to schedule repairs, sourcing parts and supplies, and adhering to safety standards and company procedures.



The Mechanic will work closely with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and support project timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance skills, including Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair across a range of construction equipment.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment, such as concrete machinery, trucks, and floor preparation tools.
- Proficient Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Relevant technical training or certification in mechanics, heavy-duty equipment, or a related trade.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe equipment handling practices.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and maintenance documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with field and project teams.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in construction environments.
- Previous experience in construction, concrete, or flooring industries is an asset.
