Job Summary

Perform in office glass installation, repair, and replacement for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Ensure accurate measurements, proper sealing, and safe handling of glass and framing materials. Number of Positions 2

Main Duties

- Measure openings, prepare layouts, and verify specifications to determine glass sizes and installation requirements

- Cut, shape, and finish glass panels and mirrors using hand and power tools according to project specifications

- Install glass in windows, doors, storefronts, curtain walls, and interior partitions, including glazing in metal or wood frames

- Apply sealants, glazing compounds, and weatherproofing materials to ensure watertight and secure installations

- Remove and replace damaged glass, repair frames and glazing systems, and perform on-site adjustments for proper fit

- Maintain tools and equipment, follow site safety procedures, and coordinate with other trades and supervisors on project tasks

Requirements

Secondary school diploma or equivalent; completion of a glazing apprenticeship or related trade training is an asset Minimum of 1–3 years of practical experience in glass handling, cutting, and installation or equivalent experience Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine installation procedures Physical ability to lift and carry heavy glass, work from ladders or scaffolding, and perform tasks at heights Familiarity with glazing materials, sealants,



and safe handling procedures for glass and glazing compounds Willingness to complete required workplace safety training and follow company health and safety policies

Required Skills

- Accurate measurement and layout for cutting and fitting glass

- Glass cutting, shaping, and edge finishing techniques

- Proficient use of hand and power tools commonly used in glazing

- Knowledge of glazing materials, sealants, and weatherproofing methods

- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and installation instructions
