Job Summary

Operate and monitor equipment used in food and beverage processing to maintain efficient, safe production. Conduct quality checks, record production data, and follow established safety and sanitation procedures.

Main Duties

- Set up, operate and monitor processing machinery, control panels and related equipment to maintain production flow and meet output targets.
- Adjust machine settings, feeders and conveyors to ensure products meet specifications and to reduce waste and downtime.
- Perform routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process items and finished products to identify defects and ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain accurate production records including output counts, operating parameters and incident reports; communicate discrepancies to supervision.
- Carry out cleaning, sanitation and basic preventive maintenance tasks on equipment according to established procedures and schedules.
- Follow safety, hygiene and operating procedures, participate in team meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- relevant technical training or certificate is an asset.
- Previous experience operating machinery in food,



beverage or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, and ability to follow HACCP-based procedures or similar protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads and working in temperature-controlled areas.
- Basic numeracy and ability to read production schedules, labels, gauges and simple technical documents.
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts, overtime or weekends as required by production demands.
