In Western

Your New Role

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, the South Okanagan’s only enclosed shopping centre. This property spans ~300,000 square feet and is home to ~50 tenants. As the operations manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, operates efficiently, and provide an exceptional experience for tenants and visitors.

In this role, you will lead an experienced onsite maintenance team while coordinating contractors and service providers across HVAC, landscaping, security, housekeeping, and other building services.



You will ensure vendors meet their contractual obligations, oversee preventative maintenance and life safety programs, support capital projects, and maintain strong relationships with tenants. This role requires someone who can confidently balance multiple priorities, make informed decisions, and keep the property running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What you’ll need to succeed The ideal candidate brings experience in operations, maintenance or facilities management, with shopping centre or retail operations experience preferred. You have a strong understanding of commercial building systems and operations, including HVAC, preventative maintenance, life safety, and emergency preparedness. You understand how buildings function, can confidently oversee contractors and service providers, and are comfortable making operational decisions that keep the property running effectively.

You are a confident leader who can effectively manage contractors, build strong tenant relationships, and provide clear direction to an experienced operations team. Experience with Angus Anywhere / MRI Angus is an asset. You will be required to be on call for any emergencies and have a class 5 BC Driver’s License as well as a vehicle.

What you’ll get in return In recognition of your dedication and effort, you will receive a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of up to $80,000 - $85,000 + annual bonus, (experience dependent), three weeks of vacation, an extended health package, RRSP matching, company phone or phone allowance, and mileage compensation.
