Role Description We are moving into a significantly larger clinic space in fall 2006. This is a rare opportunity to join a pelvic health practice at an exciting stage of growth, with a collaborative team that genuinely loves what they do.

This is a contractor position for Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist role at Commerce Gate Physiotherapy & Chiropractic is an on-site position located in Markham, ON.

The Pelvic Floor

Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of pelvic floor and musculoskeletal conditions using evidence-informed physiotherapy techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive initial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing manual therapy and exercise prescription, and delivering patient education on pelvic health, posture, and lifestyle modifications. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the clinic, and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatment plans as needed. The physiotherapist will participate in case discussions, contribute to a supportive team environment, and help promote clinic services through professional communication and occasionally community outreach.

Qualifications





- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physiotherapist in Ontario, with completed or in-progress specialized training in pelvic floor physiotherapy.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in pelvic health, orthopedic/musculoskeletal care, and exercise-based rehabilitation.
- Ability to build rapport with patients, provide trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care, and maintain professional boundaries.
- Solid written and electronic documentation skills, with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and clinic standards.
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to collaborate with chiropractors, massage therapists, and other health professionals.
- Effective time-management and organizational skills to manage caseloads, follow-up appointments, and treatment progression.
- Comfort with using clinic management software, basic computer applications, and learning new digital tools as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including continuing education courses and staying current with pelvic health research.
- Ability to work on-site in Markham, ON, with availability for full time hours, including possible evening or weekend shifts as required.
