WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
We are seeking a client-focused, detail-oriented Personal Lines Account Manager / Insurance Advisor to support and grow a personal insurance book of business. In this role, you will provide exceptional service, insurance advice, policy management, renewal reviews, remarketing recommendations, and cross-selling opportunities while building strong relationships with clients and insurance partners.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :
Client Service & Account Management
- Manage and service a personal lines book of business by providing professional insurance advice tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels while maintaining a high level of service.
- Review and analyze policies for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate coverage recommendations.
- Maintain organized follow-up activities for client requests, renewals, policy changes, and outstanding items.
- Ensure all client interactions, conversations, and documentation are accurately recorded within the brokerage management system.
Renewals, Remarketing & Policy Management
- Complete renewal reviews and provide coverage recommendations.
- Review policy renewals and determine appropriate next steps to maximize client retention and coverage adequacy.
- Prepare and send any non-automated renewal communications, highlighting coverage gaps or missing protections.
- Obtain comparison quotes and remarket policies when beneficial due to pricing, coverage improvements, market eligibility changes, or client requests.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, rewrites, cancellations, and reinstatements in accordance with company and brokerage procedures.
- Request and review underwriting reports including MVRs, AutoPlus, DASH, and HITS reports.
Sales & Growth
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional products and coverages.
- Generate referral opportunities from existing clients and contribute to brokerage growth objectives.
- Work toward achieving and exceeding retention, growth, and service targets established by the brokerage.
Claims & Team Collaboration
- Support clients throughout the claims process and provide claims-related assistance as required.
- Provide coverage and support during team member absences, including servicing unassigned accounts when necessary.
- Maintain positive relationships with insurance company underwriters to maximize growth and retention opportunities.
Compliance & Administration
- Adhere to insurer underwriting guidelines, brokerage procedures, and industry regulations.
- Maintain professional confidentiality and high standards of ethics and conduct.
- Comply with RIBO continuing education requirements and maintain licensing requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
- RIBO License required.
- CIP or CAIB designation, or actively pursuing designation, is considered an asset.
- Strong client relationship management and customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with a robust commitment to client service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and insurance brokerage management systems
