What we do
At BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, we’re on a quest to ensure every kid in the province receives the best health care imaginable. As a fundraising organization, we inspire communities and people to support BC Children’s Hospital, along with its world-class research institute, mental health facility and rehabilitation center.
Our work makes a profound difference. From helping get the boldest research ideas off the ground to supporting the most advanced equipment, together we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in children’s health care. This is no small task—which is why we’re looking for passionate people to join our team and help propel our work forward to power the possible.
What you’ll do

In this role, you will take initiative and bring a proactive mindset - anticipating what’s needed next in the donor journey, from relationship-building touchpoints to internal coordination that enables thoughtful, timely engagement.
More specifically, you will:
- Act as liaison for select donors in cultivation and stewardship, managing all internal tasks and processes to allow the Principal Gifts team and Associate Director to focus on external initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Prospect Development team to request and review research on prospective donors; identify insights to inform relationship-building and strategy. Manage this information and ensure appropriate follow-up, either independently or in a supporting role, depending on the donor.
- Request prospective donor funding opportunities from the Strategic Partnerships team and review them to determine next steps. Manage the process to ensure timely follow-up, act independently or in a supporting role, depending on the donor.
- Review active and inactive prospect lists and recommend actions to advance donor relationships. Manage follow-up as needed, either independently or in a supporting role, depending on the donor.
- Prepare and oversee the development and execution of a variety of written correspondence (e.g., letters, emails, reports) for donors.
- Prepare briefing and debriefing notes for donor meetings and ensure follow-up on identified actions. Manage next steps as needed, either independently or in a supporting role, depending on the donor.
- Maintain donor records in donor database, proactively input notes and actions and ensure information/actions are brought forward.
- Provide high-level administrative support including calendar management, coordinating meetings (agenda setting, facilitation support, and minute taking), and preparing team expense reports.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Principal Gifts donor pipeline in the donor database.
- Collaborate with other teams across the Foundation and Hospital to support and strengthen donor relationships.
