About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Purchasing Controller to oversee the financial aspects of procurement for their operations in Kimberley . This role requires a strong understanding of financial controls, budgeting, and cost analysis within the purchasing function. You will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing activities are conducted within budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing robust financial controls to mitigate risk.

This is a critical role for maintaining the financial health and efficiency of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor purchasing budgets and financial forecasts.

Analyze procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.

Establish and maintain strong internal controls over purchasing processes to ensure compliance and prevent fraud.

Oversee the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.

Conduct regular audits of purchasing activities and supplier contracts.





Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate financial reporting on procurement activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control, auditing, or a related role, with a focus on procurement.

Solid understanding of financial regulations , budgeting principles, and internal control frameworks.

Proficiency in financial management software and MS Excel for complex analysis.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Experience in supply chain or procurement operations is highly desirable.
