About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Purchasing Controller to oversee the financial aspects of procurement for their operations in Kimberley . This role requires a strong understanding of financial controls, budgeting, and cost analysis within the purchasing function. You will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing activities are conducted within budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing robust financial controls to mitigate risk. This is a critical role for maintaining the financial health and efficiency of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and monitor purchasing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls over purchasing processes to ensure compliance and prevent fraud.
- Oversee the processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
- Conduct regular audits of purchasing activities and supplier contracts.




- Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate financial reporting on procurement activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control, auditing, or a related role, with a focus on procurement.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations , budgeting principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in financial management software and MS Excel for complex analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Experience in supply chain or procurement operations is highly desirable.
