Job Vacancy – Quality Assurance- Lead Hand – Pack Room Days The Quality Assurance Lead Hand ensures that product quality and food safety is maintained on the day shift.

The Lead

Hand will adhere to health and safety, food safety and organizational standards.

The Lead

Hand will report directly to the department supervisor with support from the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager. Weekly hours may vary based on production demands.

Job Duties:

- Inspect product against customer specifications

- Report defects to the day shift Quality Assurance Technologist and relevant supervisor to ensure corrective actions have been taken

- Assist with the release of any product that has been held, this could include checking of product to ensure quality and food safety are maintained and preparing appropriate documentation of actions taken

- Assist in monitoring product temperatures and processing room temperatures at the required frequencies

- Accurately document any food safety and quality checks on associated paperwork and HACCP documentation





- Assist with visual inspections of processing equipment prior to plant operations to ensure cleanliness

- Assist in maintaining audit requirements

- Provide support to the day shift Quality Assurance Technologist in other tasks as requested

- Communicate with day Quality Assurance Technologist and department supervisor on any issues that are identified throughout the shift so appropriate action can be taken, as required.

- Adhere/comply with company policies and procedures

- Follow all relevant departmental policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

- Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position.

Requirements:

- Previous Eden Valley Poultry production/sanitation experience.

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Solid leadership skills.

- Ability to work as a team.
