Our Gentilly-1 & LaPrade location is looking for a Radiation Protection Manager to lead a team of dedicated professionals and manage resources, programs, and services to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, in compliance with regulatory requirements, and on schedule. What you will be doing!

- Setting objectives, completing performance reviews, and following the disciplinary process for all direct reports within the line.
- Ensuring the appropriate deployment of human resources to achieve goals.
- Developing and managing the budget for the business line.
- Ensuring the compliant and consistent implementation of the Corporate Radiation Protection (RP) Program within the mission.
- Implementing improvement initiatives and championing continuous improvement.
- Providing sufficient and competent RP resources to support the successful delivery of the mission.
- Initiating and supporting collaboration across organizational boundaries.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

- Education
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in science, engineering and/or related radiation protection work experience relevant to the RP compliance program. Alternative education and experience may be considered.

- Experience

- Five years work experience including detailed knowledge of the nuclear industry and an additional three years experience in a leadership role in Radiation Protection (RP).
- Experience working with the Acts, Regulations, and Standards related to RP.
- Experience in change management to effectively support the improvement and optimization of RP related processes and procedures.
- Experience making recommendations concerning selection, training, appraisal, and discipline of staff.
- Experience interacting with the CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) and/or other regulators.





- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Proven management and leadership skills, with the ability to operate in a multi-discipline functional style organization and business-like manner.
- Strong planning, technical, and administration skills to support day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate highly complex Radiation Protection issues to a wide range of internal and external customers with a varying degrees of knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, RP staff members and customers at various levels both within CNL and externally.
- Fluent in French.

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
