About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Radio Network Planner to join their team in Kimberley . This role is integral to the design and optimization of their wireless network infrastructure, ensuring efficient coverage and capacity across designated areas. You will utilize advanced planning tools and deep technical knowledge to create robust network designs. The ideal candidate possesses robust analytical skills, a keen understanding of radio propagation, and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical network solutions within the telecoms framework.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and design radio access networks (RAN) for mobile communication systems, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
- Perform RF site surveys and analyses to identify optimal locations for new base stations.
- Utilize network planning tools to simulate network performance, predict coverage, and optimize capacity.
- Develop detailed network rollout plans, considering factors such as propagation, interference, and regulatory constraints.
- Analyze network performance data and recommend improvements for coverage, capacity, and quality of service.




- Collaborate with network deployment and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of planned designs in the Northern Cape .

Requirements

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in radio network planning and optimization for mobile networks.
- Proficiency with industry-standard RF planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet).
- Strong understanding of radio propagation principles, antenna theory, and cellular network technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly in Kimberley .
