Surrey PoliceService (SPS) is Surrey’s new municipal police agency. On November 29, 2024,SPS became the police of jurisdiction, and assumed responsibility and commandfor policing and law enforcement in Surrey. POSITION OVERVIEW
Surrey Police Service (SPS) has an exciting chance for a Regular Full-TimeRecords Clerk 2 to join our Information Management and Technology Division,within the Corporate Services Bureau. Reporting to the Records Shift Manager,the incumbent performs entry level clericaland data entry work utilizing Surrey Police Service (SPS) electronic datasystems .
Schedule / Hours of Work
The anticipated schedule for this position is 35 hours per week.The Records Division is a 24 hour and 7-dayoperation including holidays and weekends.This is an in-office position with currently no option for remote work.
Shiftsare prescheduled and will be a combination of the following 10 hr shifts, whichare leveled to ensure 70 hours over 2-week period:
- 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
- 5:30 pm to 4:00 am
- 8:30 pm to 7:0 am
Please note, the hoursare subject to change based on operational need and adherence to the CollectiveAgreement
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews, enters, modifies, and removes information fromfiles using SPS electronic data systems.
- Reviews and processes police files utilizing SPSinformation systems.
- Inputs accurate information and details from hard copyfiles.
- Opens and distributes correspondence.
- Files documents and correspondence.
- Provides information to other staff in regard toinformation contained in the SPS electronic data systems.
- Assists other staff in performing their duties.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Grade 12, plus one year's experience and/ortraining in a computerized office environment.
- Typing speed of 45 wpm.
- All applicants must obtain and maintain the required police clearance throughout their employment with SPS.This role also requires RCMP Reliability Status (security clearance).

- Thesalary range is $30.46/hour - $32.26/hour (pay grade 09) based on 2026 rates.
