Job Overview

We are looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to join our Chiropractic Clinic as a full-time, independent contractor beginning in January. There is a possibility to start sooner as part-time, hours to be determined. This position is being offered as temporary, with the potential for a permanent position to follow.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to step into an established practice with a full client load, as you will be taking over the existing schedule of another Massage Therapist.

The position consists of five shifts per week, with at least every other Saturday required. The current schedule is Tuesday through Saturday with both morning and evening shifts, although there is some room for flexibility.

We are looking for someone who can perform a wide range of modalities, deep tissue and MVA experience is an asset, although it is not required.

Duties:

- Providing professional treatment to clients, communicating with them about their treatment, preferences, benefits, and any contraindications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment notes and consent forms.
- Rebooking clients and maintaining continuity of care.
- Completing client billing and processing payments.
- Keeping your treatment room clean, sanitary and organized.




- Completing laundry as needed.

Experience/Requirements:

- Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with an accredited association.
- Proof of Liability Insurance.
- City of Edmonton Business License.
- Robust knowledge of terminology related to musculoskeletal health and wellness, as well as contraindications for any health issues clients may have.
- Effective communication skills for ensuring client satisfaction and building trust with clients.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude.
- Prior experience working in a clinical or wellness setting is preferred but not required.
