Role Description This part time, on-site Sales Associate role is based at the Global Pet Foods store in Midland, ON.

The Sales

Associate supports customers by actively engaging with pet parents, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable products that align with the company’s holistic pet care philosophy. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product and pet care questions, maintaining well-organized and clean store shelves, and processing purchases at the point of sale.



The role also involves restocking merchandise, checking inventory levels, and supporting promotional activities and in-store displays.

Sales

Associates collaborate with the store team to ensure an inviting, informative, and pet-friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

- Customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to engage warmly with customers and provide product recommendations.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to explain pet care concepts clearly and work effectively with team members.
- Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale (POS) operation skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to maintain store appearance, restock shelves, and handle light physical tasks such as lifting and moving products.
- Interest in and knowledge of pets and pet nutrition, with a willingness to learn about natural and holistic pet products.
- Reliability and flexibility to work any hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in retail or pet-related environments is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
