To support our growth, we are searching for an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. As part of a growing and well-respected team, you’ll work with clients in the public, healthcare, and private sectors. You’ll collaborate with a seasoned team of professionals with backgrounds in project management, change management, service design, risk management and technology, and ​‘lived’ experience, who have your back and value your contributions.

What We’re Looking For

As a Mara Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you’ll bring a broad set of skills, knowledge and experience in IT solution and technical architecture with a focus on cloud-based solutions. You will work with our clients to prepare cloud strategies and plans, and design and deliver digital services to support their current and evolving business needs.

You’ll have exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate and apply appropriate architecture frameworks and concepts clearly to the help our clients think through their most pressing challenges. As a self-starter who is detail-oriented and flexible, you will take on various types of projects based on the priorities of our clients. In all the work that you do, you will be encouraged to think creatively and resourcefully.

As a complement to our existing team members, we are looking for that special person who is energetic and fun-loving, but passionate and serious about the work.

We’d like to hear from you if you bring:

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or a combination of a two-year technical diploma and relevant experience.
- 10+ years’ experience architecting and implementing technology solutions using major cloud platforms in a production environment.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Cloud Architect, preferably in complex enterprise or regulated environments.
- Deep experience designing secure,



scalable, resilient cloud platforms using Microsoft Azure, AWS, or comparable cloud services.
- Experience developing cloud strategies, target-state architectures, roadmaps, migration approaches, and implementation plans that align with business priorities,
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and automated platform provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or comparable technologies.
- Experience in applying modern DevOps and platform-engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management, release management, and operational support.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud landing zones, cloud governance, policy management, tagging standards, and FinOps practices.
- Experience with the following:
- Designing highly available, resilient, and multi-region cloud architectures, including hub-and-spoke networks and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Designing secure identity architectures using federated authentication, role-based access control, attribute-based access control, conditional access, and privileged-access management.
- Designing zero trust security architectures, secrets management, encryption, key management, and security monitoring.
- Designing and operating containerized application platforms using services such as Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, or comparable technologies.
- Designing observability strategies using centralized logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
- Optimizing cloud storage, backup, and date-retention solutions with lifecycle storage, backup, and data-retention solutions with lifecycle, resiliency, encryption, and governance requirements.
- Supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including application rationalization and workload transition planning.
- Experience contributing to enterprise cloud architecture initiatives and programs that support business priorities, technology roadmaps, and digital transformation.
- Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions.

Translating complex technical and data concepts into explicit, practical recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Priority Management: Managing multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and make sound decisions in evolving client environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating, issue identifying and resolving, problem solving, and engaging with stakeholders.
- Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills tailored to the needs of different audiences.
- Exemplary client service skills and ability to collaborate effectively with people at all organizational levels.

Assets:

- Experience in the public and/​or healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Microsoft Azure, AWS and/​or other cloud certifications.
- Experience enabling responsible AI and generative AI solutions, including secure cloud foundations, data protection, identity controls, monitoring, and AIgovernance.
