You provide practical advice, build strong relationships with clients, and help ensure security requirements are understood and applied consistently. You are comfortable leading projects, developing guidance and training, and addressing complex security issues.

What you'll do As a senior corporate security officer, you will be responsible for:

- Leading and supporting two or more corporate security program areas, such as personnel security, security awareness and training, travel security, or security in contracting.
- Providing subject matter expertise in the development, enhancement, and implementation of corporate security program elements, including guidelines, procedures, and work practices, in a manner consistent with Government Security Policies.
- Providing advice and recommendations to management and employees on security requirements and best practices.
- Supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corporate security policies, guidelines, procedures, standards,



and program activities to ensure alignment with Government of Canada Direction and the evolving industry/threat landscape.
- Supporting the development and delivery of security awareness training and outreach activities, including the Traveller Security Program, ensuring staff are provided with and understand their security responsibilities.
- Monitoring program performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, and supporting compliance with Government of Canada security requirements.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure corporate security programs remain effective and aligned with government direction.
- Establishing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of security programs and support continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications: Education: University degree or college diploma in security management or a related field related to a Corporate Security Program or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

- Experience in key areas of the personnel security program, including the assessment and management of adverse cases, review for cause processes, security screening processes, and conducting security interviews.
- Experience delivering one or more corporate security program areas, including travel security, threat assessment and continuous monitoring, security awareness and training (workforce trust and security culture initiatives), and security in contracting.
- Experience interpreting and applying security policies, standards, procedures or legislation.
- Experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to management and clients.
- Experience developing, implementing or improving security programs, processes, procedures or guidance.
- Experience preparing reports, briefings, presentations or training materials.
- Experience leading projects, working groups or multidisciplinary teams.
