About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in robotics to join their cutting-edge remote team. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the mechanical design and development of robotic systems, end-effectors, and automation solutions.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Perform structural analysis, kinematic analysis, and dynamic simulations to ensure robotic system performance, durability, and safety.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.




- Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and sourcing strategies for robotic components.
- Stay current with advancements in robotics, automation, and mechanical design best practices to drive innovation.

Requirements

- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on robotics or mechatronics.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years focused on robotics.
- Expertise in CAD software and proficiency in simulation tools for kinematic and dynamic analysis.
- Deep understanding of mechatronics, control systems, and automation principles.
- Experience with materials selection and manufacturing processes relevant to robotics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex design projects in a remote setting.
