Role Description The Site Superintendent is a temporary, on-site role based in Mission, BC, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. In this role, the Site Superintendent coordinates trade partners, consultants, and suppliers, manages site logistics, and monitors progress against project plans and timelines. The position involves conducting regular site inspections, enforcing health and safety protocols, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining accurate documentation such as daily reports, site logs, and deficiency lists.





The Site

Superintendent collaborates closely with project managers and stakeholders, supports clear communication between the site and office teams, and helps ensure that work complies with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.

Qualifications

- Experience overseeing commercial construction or development projects as a Site Superintendent or in a similar site leadership role.
- Strong skills in construction planning, scheduling, and coordination of trades, suppliers, and site logistics.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices relevant to construction in British Columbia.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, and to identify and resolve field issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with owners, consultants, trade partners, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to maintain detailed site documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and progress tracking.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with experience implementing and monitoring safety programs on site.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Previous experience with commercial construction, tenant improvements, or land development projects is an asset.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and construction experience.
