Staff Pharmacist Job Prospect – Northern Alberta

We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Permanent Staff Pharmacist to join a busy and well-supported community pharmacy in Northern Alberta.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a long-term pharmacy career in Alberta, with competitive compensation of up to $85 per hour, a stable permanent position, and a supportive pharmacy team.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while supporting the clinical and operational needs of the pharmacy.

Staff Pharmacist Responsibilities

- Accurately review, assess, verify, and dispense prescription medications.

- Provide professional medication counselling and patient education.

- Conduct medication reviews and provide pharmacist-led clinical services.

- Assess prescriptions for drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic appropriateness.

- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals as required.

- Support immunizations, injections, and other clinical pharmacy services where applicable.

- Maintain accurate patient profiles, records, and clinical documentation.

- Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with Alberta pharmacy legislation, regulatory standards, and professional requirements.





- Contribute to efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations.

- Build strong relationships with patients and provide a positive, patient-centred pharmacy experience.

Staff Pharmacist Qualifications

- Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Alberta.

- Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred.

- Strong prescription verification and clinical assessment skills.

- Excellent communication and patient counselling abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.

- Ability to work independently and effectively within a pharmacy team.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- A professional, patient-focused approach to pharmacy practice.
