Sales Clerk Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada (ATCCC) is a Christ-centered, non-profit ministry focused on substance abuse treatment and recovery.

This role is primarily focused on customer service and ensuring customers shopping at SuperThrift have the best experience possible.

This role will provide assistance to customers on the sales floor and support day to day retail operations which includes putting out new stock, serving customers, general storing and organization of product, assisting customers with the fitting rooms, and merchandising stock on the sales floor. To provide additional store support this position may be trained as back up cashier and/or production worker and will assist as required.

Sales Clerk

Stock shelves with recent inventory. Create and maintain sales displays.



Assist customers with the fitting rooms and putting away unwanted items. Carry product to a customer's vehicle.

Customer Service

Ensure all customers, donors, and visitors receive courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Resolve customer concerns in a professional and respectful manner and escape to leadership as required. Greeting customers, offering assistance, answering questions and offering product recommendations.

As required you will cross trained and/or be asked to assist in other areas within the store. Assist customers with checkout and purchase. Process customer payments including cash, credit, debit, coupons and gift certificates.

Provide friendly and efficient customer service. Accept customer donations. Inspect items quality and determine suitability for sale. Train new staff as required and assigned by store leadership. Answer phones.

Support other team members as required. Education, Experience and Credentials High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) year experience in retail preferred.

Experience in thrift, cash, production, sales, or customer service is an asset.

Experience working with a POS system and basic computer applications.

Personal Competencies

Excellent customer service skills. Flexible schedule including working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Contact with other staff, program students, volunteers, and the general public.
