The Vice President, Finance, Americas is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and oversight across the Americas region. This role partners with executive and business leaders to drive financial performance, support growth initiatives, ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements, and deliver accurate financial planning, reporting, and analysis. The VP Finance leads regional finance functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury, internal controls, and financial operations, while fostering a high-performing team and supporting the achievement of organizational objectives.

Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

- Oversee accounting operations for the Americas region, including general ledger, month-end/quarter-end closing, and consolidation.
- Own inventory accounting for the Memphis distribution center — valuation methodology, standard costing, cycle counts, and obsolescence/reserve policy.
- Ensure COGS accuracy and margin analysis tied to distribution operations.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements prepared in accordance with local GAAP in each jurisdiction (US, Canada, and LatAm countries).
- Prepare and submit financial reports in compliance with IFRS and Group accounting standards, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits, implement improvement plans, and maintain effective communication with internal and external audit teams.
- Work closely with the HQ finance team to ensure consistency in reporting formats, policies, and processes.

2. Compliance

- Maintain and enhance internal control and accounting procedures to align with Group policies and US/Canadian/LatAm regulations.
- Ensure customs and bonded warehouse compliance — duty deferral, in-bond transfers,



and CBP requirements — for the Memphis distribution center, partnering with trade compliance and logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with local direct and indirect tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and multi-state US sales/use tax nexus; complete filings accurately and on time.
- Regularly review the reasonableness of intercompany transfer pricing across US, Canada, and LatAm entities, and assess associated risks.

3. Treasury & Financial Planning

- Manage cash-flow, working capital, and banking relationships across the Americas to ensure liquidity and efficient funding.
- Support financing activities and treasury optimization.
- Provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support operational decision-making across HQ, sales & marketing offices, and the distribution center.

4. System & Process Enhancement

- Drive ERP system integration and automation to improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and close timelines.
- Identify process improvement opportunities across order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay to enhance timeliness and reliability of financial information.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 6 years in a managerial or Controller role.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, US/Canadian tax regulations, compliance, and internal controls.




- Experience with distribution or logistics operations, including inventory accounting and customs/bonded warehouse environments, strongly preferred.
- Hands-on SAP experience, particularly ERP implementation or migration, is a solid plus.
- Previous experience in multinational or listed companies is a strong plus.
- Proven leadership experience building and managing multi-country/multi-entity finance teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for global stakeholder management. Chinese is a plus for Group-level communication.

- Partner with Americas business, sales, and marketing leadership to provide financial insights, operational performance analysis, and cost control recommendations.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team across Montreal HQ, sales & marketing offices, and the Memphis distribution center; drive talent development and succession planning.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the Americas leadership team, contributing to regional business strategy, investment decisions, and capital allocation.
- Report to the Group CFO on financial performance, risks, and strategic priorities, representing Americas Finance in Group-level executive discussions.
