We’re building the next generation of Canadian media, and we’re looking for a talented Videographer & Editor to join our growing team.

The Role:

This is a hands on production role for someone who knows how to capture a moment, tell a compelling story visually and turn around high quality content quickly.

You’ll work across Gonez Media’s brands and productions, shooting everything from studio interviews and podcasts to breaking news, red carpets, street interviews, live events, branded campaigns and social first content.

You should be just as comfortable setting up a multi camera studio production as you are grabbing a camera and heading into the field when a story breaks.

Most importantly, you should be able to work independently, solve problems on the fly and understand the speed and creativity required in a digital first newsroom and production environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Shoot high quality video content in studio and on location across Gonez Media productions and platforms
- Film interviews, podcasts, news coverage, red carpets, live events, streeters, branded content and original programming
- Set up and operate multi camera productions, including cameras, lighting and audio
- Edit short form and long form content for TikTok, Instagram,



YouTube and other digital platforms
- Turn around social first video quickly while maintaining robust production standards
- Capture content for both vertical and horizontal formats, with an understanding of how composition and storytelling differ across platforms
- Support live streams and live productions, including multi camera setups
- Work independently in the field alongside reporters, hosts and producers
- Collaborate with editorial, production and branded content teams to execute creative concepts
- Colour correct and perform basic audio mixing to ensure consistent quality across productions
- Organize, manage, back up and archive footage and production assets
- Set up, strike and maintain cameras, lighting, audio and other production equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly during studio and field productions
- Help maintain a consistent visual standard across Gonez Media brands
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends when productions, events or news coverage require it

What We’re Looking For:

- Professional experience in videography, video production or a related field
- Strong camera operation skills and understanding of exposure, composition, frame rates, shutter speed, white balance and focus
- Strong knowledge of lighting and audio for interviews, studio productions and field shoots




- Experience with professional mirrorless and cinema camera systems; experience with Sony cameras is an asset
- Strong editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software
- Experience with multi camera production and editing
- Experience creating content specifically for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms
- Ability to shoot and edit both vertical and horizontal content
- Ability to work quickly and deliver content under tight deadlines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently without requiring constant direction
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast paced setting
- Experience with live streaming, live switching, motion graphics or photography is an asset
