Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers. We are continually developing new and cutting-edge designs for our customers across Canada and have won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since 1948.

We are currently looking for multiple permanent, full-time Fabricators and Welders to join our team at our Saskatoon location. Our shifts rotate bi-weekly Monday to Thursday from days (5 a.m. – 3:00p.m.) to afternoons (3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.) and we accommodate shift preferences where possible.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, the purpose of the Fabricator/Welder is to support the manufacturing flow by providing protected, efficient and quality welding processes to ensure our customers’ trailers are on schedule for delivery.

Key accountabilities include:

· Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.

· Layout, fit, align, and assemble trailer components and structural weldments.

Weld horizontal and vertical filets

· Weld vertical down filets and vertical down laps

· Torch cutting

· Maintain equipment

· Maintain a clean work area





· Follow established procedures (safe operating procedures; quality procedures; work instructions)

· Share your ideas to contribute to process improvements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Experience welding on a production line

· Pre-employment or production line welding certification is an asset

· Experience using hand tools

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Ability to think critically and problem solve

· Experience working with drawings

· Ability to collaborate with a team

· An understanding of hydraulics is an asset

· Experience welding on aluminum is an asset

· Experience with lean methodology is an asset

Pay: $26.65-$30.75 per hour
