IAM Physiotherapy Clinic is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Newmarket, Ontario.

We are particularly interested in an OT with experience or additional training in areas such as hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation, concussion management, functional rehabilitation, return-to-work planning and/or pediatric care.

If you have another clinical specialty that you feel would complement a busy rehabilitation clinic, we would also love to hear from you.

We are now looking to further develop Occupational Therapy as an in-clinic service at IAM.

The opportunity

This is a excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys clinical rehabilitation and would like the freedom to develop their own area of practice within an established clinic.

Depending on your experience and interests, your caseload could include:

- Hand, wrist and upper-extremity rehabilitation
- Functional rehabilitation following injury or surgery
- Concussion rehabilitation and return-to-activity planning
- Cognitive,



fatigue and activity-management strategies following concussion
- Return-to-work planning and functional goal setting
- Ergonomic assessment and education
- Chronic pain and activity-management programs
- Functional assessments and rehabilitation
- Pediatric rehabilitation and functional development
- Fine-motor and upper-extremity rehabilitation
- Activities of daily living and functional independence
- Collaboration on MVA, workplace and private rehabilitation cases, where appropriate within the clinician's scope and experience

We are especially interested in hearing from OTs who already have a special clinical interest or niche and would like to build that service within IAM.

Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate is someone who is clinically confident, personable and interested in building a long-term practice within a multidisciplinary setting.

Applicants must:

- Be registered to practise as an Occupational Therapist in Ontario
- Be in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Carry appropriate professional liability insurance
- Have excellent communication and documentation skills
- Be comfortable collaborating with other healthcare professionals
- Be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care

Experience in hand therapy, upper-extremity rehabilitation, concussion rehabilitation, pediatrics, functional rehabilitation or return-to-work programs would be a strong asset.

Newer OTs with relevant postgraduate training or a strong interest in developing one of these clinical areas are also welcome to apply.
