The Project: Mace is working on major transit and transportation infrastructure programmes in Canada and continues to build capability to support current and future client needs.

You'll Be Responsible For:

- Responsible for assuring the assessment, management and mitigation of risk in accordance with regulation and business standards.

- Drives change through communication, persuasion, engagement and innovation.

- Supports the integration of the Operational HSW job family into an efficient, effective and cohesive team.

- Monitors and report on performance, provide advice, guidance and expertise as needed.

- Translates business strategy and objectives into local business plan/s.

- Collaborates with operational directors to deliver cost effective and efficient performance.

- Develops and delivers agreed local business plan/s to time, quality and budget.

- Supporting succession planning and career development activities for team/s.

- Collaborates with the assurance function in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

- Engages and influences identified business and industry stakeholders.

- Ensure timely and effective escalation of non-compliance issues they are unable to influence or achieve a satisfactory conclusion to.

- Manages a large team of direct reports, driving the appropriate behaviours to achieve success & key performance indicators (KPIs), including a continuous improvement culture.

- Provides performance management,



technical & career development and coaching.

You’ll Need To Have:

- Strong knowledge of HSW legislation, regulations, and sector-specific delivery.

- Experience implementing and improving management systems, including certification processes.

- Proven ability to develop and apply assurance and audit strategies.

- Solid experience in risk management and mitigation within a large organization (enterprise and project level).

- Ability to assess team competency, align resources effectively, and support development planning.

- Skilled in presenting technical HSW information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Degree (or equivalent experience), with chartered membership and relevant HSW skilled qualifications.

Note: The estimated salary for this position is 180,000 - 240,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
