Leadership Development Opportunity – Stable Harvest Farm, Langley, BC

Stable Harvest Farm is looking for an exceptionally bright, ambitious and highly organized individual with strong future leadership potential to work directly with the Founder and be mentored toward eventually overseeing the farm's major operating divisions.

Farm knowledge is not necessary. In fact, we are very open to someone coming from business, technology, operations, project management or another professional background.

We are particularly interested in an early-career university graduate or individual with several years of work experience who is intelligent, curious, technologically capable and eager to take on substantial responsibility.

The Founder has built businesses over many years and has had considerable success identifying capable people early in their careers, mentoring them personally and giving them increasing responsibility as they developed. This position is intended to follow that same model.

A university degree is preferred, although exceptional ability, judgment and experience are more important than a particular degree.

Candidates from diverse cultural and international backgrounds are strongly welcomed.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work directly with the Founder and gradually learn approximately 4–5 areas of the organization, including:

- Agricultural and greenhouse production
- Animals and visitor operations
- Education and community programs
- Property, equipment and maintenance
- Events, administration and organizational planning

Initially, the emphasis will be on learning, observing, listening, organizing and following through. As the individual proves themselves, they will be given progressively greater authority and responsibility.

The long-term objective is to develop this person into someone capable of coordinating and eventually overseeing the overall operation.

Important Requirements

This is not a 9-to-5 position.

The successful candidate must have considerable flexibility. Farm operations, animals, events and seasonal activities sometimes require early mornings, evenings or weekends.

The individual must live within approximately 30 minutes of Stable Harvest Farm in Langley or be prepared to relocate within that distance.

We are looking for someone who views this as an unusual career and mentorship opportunity and who wants to build something over the long term.

Farm experience is not required.
