Highlander is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys full-cycle accounting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to expand their analytical and financial reporting skills.

What You’ll Do

- Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and month-end support
- Complete bank reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies
- Process AP/AR transactions and prepare bi-weekly cheque runs
- Prepare GST filings and government remittances
- Reconcile sales to merchant statements and investigate variances
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Assist with inventory costing, shrink analysis, and other ad hoc reports
- Maintain internal controls and support external audits

What We’re Looking For

- Accounting diploma or degree; CPA candidate preferred
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills




- Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume workplace
