Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cookies, and specialty cakes, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes with intricate designs, fondant work, piping, and other artistic techniques to create visually stunning desserts
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Assist customers with selecting baked goods and answer questions about ingredients, customization options, and dietary considerations
- Package finished products carefully for display or delivery to preserve freshness and presentation




- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients; communicate needs for restocking to management
- Maintain consistent quality control by checking the appearance, texture, and flavor of baked items before serving or packaging

Requirements

- Proven experience in cake decorating and baking within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Robust skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, piping tools, and decorating supplies efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
- Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Passion for creating visually appealing desserts that delight customers’ senses
