Positioned in the Recreation, Culture & Projects Department, you'll be instrumental in training and supervising aquatic staff. Your expertise will ensure safety and the delivery of high-quality programs at the Lets’emó:t Regional Recreation & Aquatic Centre, set to open in September 2026. Candidates must have significant aquatic experience and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and support Lifeguards and Instructors
• Evaluate aquatic staff and assist in scheduling
• Conduct risk management and water quality tasks
• Engage in administrative duties and communications
• Model high standards of lifeguarding and instruction
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of three years in aquatic roles
• National Lifeguard (NL) Pool Option certification
• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Pool Operator Certification
