This opportunity is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the DI Nuclear Medicine (In Vivo) department, located at Central Zone, Halifax Infirmary Robie Street Entrance - QEII. This is a permanent full-time position (100% FTE) with 75 hours biweekly.ResponsibilitiesUnder the remote supervision of the Manager, and working with the team, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, dispenses, and administers radiopharmaceuticals to perform more than 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies, effectively, efficiently, professionally, and ethically.Maintain ongoing quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation as required by hospital accreditation, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Health Canada.Adapt procedures and perform complex computer manipulations and analysis while providing a high standard of health care to the client.On a rotating basis, independently perform on-call/emergency procedures outside of department hours for presentation to the nuclear medicine physician.About You / QualificationsMust be a graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine TechnologyCanadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification; Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP)
