About the Client:

We're seeking a dedicated caregiver for a gentleman recovering from spinal cord surgery following a motor vehicle accident in November 2023. He experiences mobility challenges and uses a walker or wheelchair for assistance. He requires support with daily activities while maintaining his independence and dignity. The family includes his wife and two young children, and they value professionalism, reliability, and clear communication.

Responsibilities:

Your role will include a variety of personal care and light housekeeping tasks during each three-hour visit. You'll begin by cleaning up from the previous evening—washing dinner dishes, tidying the living room and kitchen area, and general organization. In the bedroom, you'll assist with therapeutic leg massage using prescribed oils and perform acupressure techniques with provided tools as directed by his doctor. You'll help prepare the washroom for bathing, assist with safe transfers to and from the toilet and shower, and provide support during his morning routine. After he completes his shower and gets dressed, you'll mop the washroom floor to clean up any water spillage. You'll also make the bed, organize the bedside table, sweep the bedroom, clean pill containers, and tidy breakfast dishes. Light laundry folding will be required when needed. The client attends physiotherapy five days per week, so flexibility around his appointment schedule is significant.

What We're Looking For:

We need someone who brings positive energy and maintains a calm, patient demeanor. Reliability and consistency are essential—the family has experienced multiple caregiver changes and values stability.



You should communicate clearly with the family about your availability and any schedule changes. Experience with mobility assistance, transfer techniques, and personal care support is required. You must be comfortable working with clients who use walkers or wheelchairs. Fluency in English or Hindi is preferred. The ideal candidate takes initiative, respects the client's independence, and demonstrates professionalism in all interactions.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Tuesdays are not required due to the client's physiotherapy appointments. This is a consistent weekly schedule with the same caregiver each visit.
