Job Summary

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and reliable Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and certification of portable fire extinguishers and related safety equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional, detail oriented, committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform annual inspections, recharging, 6-year maintenance, and 12-year hydro static testing on various types of portable fire extinguishers
- Ensure all work complies with the NFPA 10
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and provincial Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Act as a professional representative of the company, explaining technical requirements and safety recommendations to clients clearly and confidently

Qualifications

- Valid Portable Fire Extinguisher certification considered an asset (Training will be provided)
- Knowledge of fire protection standards preferred (NFPA 10)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (Up to ~60lbs)



and navigate various site environments, including stairs and ladders
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and client interaction
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage daily tasks independently
- Valid H2S Alive is considered an asset
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) is considered an asset
- Valid First Aid is considered an asset
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract is considered an asset

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
