Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair using icing, fondant, and other decorative techniques
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling products for display or sale
- Package baked goods efficiently for retail or take-out orders while maintaining presentation quality
- Support the team during busy periods by providing excellent customer service and answering customer inquiries about products




- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment cleaning and organization to ensure a smooth workflow

Requirements

- Previous experience in baking, cake decorating, or food preparation in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential to ensure product quality and safety
- Strong skills in baking techniques, including mixing, proofing, baking, and decorating baked goods
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and collaboration
- Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable; familiarity with packaging processes is a plus
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including weekends or evenings as needed
