Job Summary

Express is seeking a skilled Overhead Door Technician to join our clients dedicated service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead doors and related systems across various commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in construction, carpentry, and mechanical troubleshooting. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction at every step. Duties

- Install new overhead doors, tracks, springs, and hardware according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal door operation
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to door mechanisms, openers, and safety devices
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for precise work execution
- Conduct caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to enhance durability and energy efficiency
- Assist with restoration projects involving construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, or carpentry as needed




- Maintain accurate documentation of service calls and repairs performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold quality standards

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and pliers
- Construction experience including carpentry, plumbing, welding, or flooring installation
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
- Familiarity with restoration processes and construction painting techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
