About Kavuus

Kavuus is a Canadian furniture manufacturer specializing in custom, handcrafted sofas, sectionals, chairs, beds, and other upholstered furniture made in British Columbia.

We’re growing our production team and looking for an experienced upholsterer or skilled furniture production worker who can jump into frame preparation and learn additional areas of our manufacturing process.

If you have experience with upholstery, furniture frame prep, woodworking, CNC equipment, or furniture manufacturing, we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Depending on your experience, your work may include:
- Upholstering sofas, sectionals, chairs, ottomans, beds, and custom furniture

CNC experience is a strong asset, particularly experience working with CNC equipment in furniture, cabinetry, woodworking, or a similar manufacturing environment.

- Preparing furniture frames for upholstery
- Applying foam, batting, padding, and other upholstery materials
- Measuring, positioning, stretching, and securing fabric
- Using pneumatic staplers, staple guns, hand tools, and power tools
- Reading measurements, specifications, and production work orders
- Inspecting pieces and correcting imperfections before they move to the next production stage
- Assisting with repairs, modifications, and custom furniture requirements
- Working alongside our cutting, sewing, framing, upholstery, and packaging teams
- Safely moving and staging furniture and materials
- Maintaining an organized and secure workspace
- Meeting production targets while maintaining Kavuus quality standards

What We're Looking For

We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

- Professional furniture upholstery
- Upholstery frame preparation
- Sofa, chair, or upholstered furniture manufacturing
- Foam and padding application
- Woodworking or furniture frame construction
- CNC machinery or CNC-based manufacturing
- Furniture repair or reupholstery




- General hands-on furniture production

You should be comfortable using tools, working accurately from measurements, solving problems as they come up, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
