Days: 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m., Monday–Friday — 1 opening
Afternoons: 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m., Monday–Thursday — 1 opening

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is hiring on behalf of a great company in Stratford, ON for a Brake Press Operator. This company fabricates and assembles components for heavy trucks, defense, and off-road equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate brake press machinery to form parts according to specifications.
- Set up tooling, select appropriate dies and programs, and prepare machinery for first articles.
- Read and interpret blueprints, travellers, and part specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
- Inspect completed parts and identify or report non-conforming materials.
- Meet production timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Complete required production, quality, maintenance, and repair documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments and follow proper lockout procedures when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with Lead Hands, supervisors, Quality Assurance, and team members.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- High school education or equivalent; relevant experience and certifications will be considered.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Ability to perform basic to intermediate math calculations.
- Familiarity with industry-related hand tools and lifting equipment.
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs repetitively.
- Reliable transportation.
